Fit and format

1 Is Doctor of Strength online or in person?

Doctor of Strength is fully online. Training is delivered through the Everfit app, check-ins are weekly and remote, and calls happen by video, so the program works wherever you live and travel in the United States.

2 Who is Foundation 90 for?

Foundation 90 is for men roughly 45 to 65 who still train, still compete at something, and keep losing weeks to the same shoulder, knee, ankle or back. It is not a physique program, and it is not for anyone in an acute medical situation.

3 How much time does Foundation 90 take each week?

Foundation 90 asks for three training sessions a week of 45 to 60 minutes each, plus one weekly check-in. Every phase has a travel version for a hotel gym with forty minutes, a rack and two dumbbells.

4 I'm 60 and still lifting. Is this realistic for me?

Yes. Men in their fifties and sixties who still lift are the profile Foundation 90 is built around. The program works around your current training and your recovery instead of asking you to stop either one.

5 How is Doctor of Strength different from a personal trainer?

A typical personal trainer is not trained to read imaging or manage an injury inside your program. At Doctor of Strength your sessions are written with a clinician's read of your history and records, so your joints, training, sleep, nutrition and bloodwork are handled as one integrated plan.

Price and the 90-Day Standard

1 What does Foundation 90 cost?

Foundation 90 costs $3,997 paid in full, or $1,600 a month with a 3-month minimum. The Baseline assessment is credited in full against it if you start Foundation 90 within 30 days.

2 What happens if I don't reach my targets in 90 days?

Under the 90-Day Standard, if you log at least 85% of your programmed sessions and 11 of your 13 weekly check-ins and still have not reached the two targets agreed at intake, you receive an additional 60 days at no charge.

Licensing, imaging and medical

1 Is Foundation 90 medical treatment?

No. Foundation 90 is coaching led by a licensed chiropractor, not medical treatment. Decisions to order imaging, prescribe or treat stay with your own physician, and Dr. Sheppard can prepare a written summary for them when your case calls for it.

2 Can I join if I don't live in California?

Yes. Dr. LaMar Sheppard is licensed in California, and clients elsewhere in the United States join the same program. Outside California the Baseline is $697 rather than $497 and includes a written summary for your own physician, who makes any decision about imaging or treatment.

3 Do I need imaging or bloodwork before I start?

No. Bring whatever imaging and bloodwork you already have and it is read before your Baseline consult. If you have none, you leave with the specific markers to ask your own physician for at your next blood panel.

4 Do you prescribe testosterone or peptides?

No. Doctor of Strength does not prescribe. Foundation 90 helps you get the right testing, reads it alongside your training and recovery, and points you toward a licensed physician where it is warranted. Prescribing decisions stay with that physician.

Getting started

1 Is the first call a sales pitch?

No. The free 15-minute call with Dr. LaMar Sheppard is only to check whether this is a fit. If Doctor of Strength is not right for you, he will say so and point you toward what is.

2 What is the free 14-day challenge?

The free 14-day challenge is two weeks of workouts, a meal plan and accountability from Doctor of Strength. It is a low-commitment way to try the approach before you book a call.

Start with the 15-minute call.

No assessment and no pitch, just whether this is a fit. If it is not, I will say so.
